XRP Sunday Wallet Surge Makes Sustainability—not Size—the Next Test

XRP Ledger network growth surged to 7,934 new wallets on Nov. 1, marking the sixth-highest daily total of 2026 even as XRP remained pinned near $1.25.

The spike stands out not only because of its size but also because it arrived on a Sunday, typically a quieter period for crypto network activity. Santiment data now puts the focus on whether that burst of participation can develop into sustained growth rather than fade as a one-day anomaly.

XRP currently trades around $1.25, leaving a clear divergence between improving network activity and subdued price action.

XRP Network Growth Accelerates Into November

The Santiment chart shows network growth remaining largely between roughly 2,000 and 3,000 new wallets per day during much of May through August, interrupted by several isolated spikes.

Activity began strengthening more noticeably from late September into October.

That trend accelerated into November. On Nov. 1, network growth jumped to 7,934 wallets, more than double the recent 30-day average of roughly 3,500. The chart’s latest reading remains elevated at about 4,101, suggesting activity did not immediately collapse back toward earlier baseline levels.

Santiment data shows XRP network growth surging to 7,934 new wallets on Nov. 1 before holding near 4,101 as XRP trades around $1.25.

The latest expansion follows an earlier increase that pushed XRP Ledger non-empty wallets to a record 8.24 million, while daily network growth reached 4,772 during the previous surge.

That makes sustainability the more important question now. Another isolated spike would add to XRP’s sequence of strong network-growth days, but maintaining daily wallet creation around or above 4,000 would point to a broader shift in participation.

Binance Hack May Have Influenced Wallet Activity

The surge also arrived days after the Binance security breach.

The timing raises the possibility that the event encouraged some users to create fresh wallets or move toward self-custody. However, the data does not establish the Binance hack as the cause of the 7,934-wallet increase.

This distinction matters because XRP activity around the breach has been substantial. The Crypto Basic recently reported that a Binance hack-linked address moved 80 million XRP in two transactions within 50 seconds.

Santiment’s network-growth spike therefore followed an unusually active week for XRP, but the reason behind each newly created wallet cannot be determined from the metric alone.

XRP Price Still Needs to Confirm the Adoption Signal

The strongest disconnect in the chart is between XRP price and network activity.

While wallet creation has accelerated, XRP remains near $1.25, well below the roughly $1.50 area seen during late September.

That leaves $1.25 as the immediate price pivot, with $1.30 representing the first meaningful recovery level.

A move above $1.30 alongside daily network growth holding around or above 4,000 wallets would bring price and participation into better alignment. XRP has also recently seen buyers repeatedly defend the $1.24 region, making the current range particularly important.

The opposite scenario would weaken the signal. If XRP falls below $1.20 while network growth retreats below roughly 3,000 wallets per day, the latest adoption burst would look less convincing in the short term.

For now, the 7,934-wallet spike has established the size of XRP’s latest network-growth burst. The next test is whether daily creation can remain near 4,000 while XRP reclaims $1.30.
