Analyst Rejects XRP Cup-and-Handle Targets of 0-,000

XRP long-term cup-and-handle structure is drawing attention as analysts assess support levels, Fibonacci extensions, and whether the pattern can confirm a broader breakout.

XRP’s multi-year cup-and-handle structure is being used to outline Fibonacci extension levels near $8, $13 and $27, while much higher $750-$1,000 projections based on the same pattern have been rejected as inconsistent with the chart’s measured Fibonacci structure.

Chart analyst ChartNerd said the long-term formation does not support a $750-$1,000 XRP target through the Fibonacci levels used in his analysis. Instead, his latest chart identifies extension levels at approximately $8.47, $13.70 and $27.31.

The projections correspond to the 1.272, 1.414 and 1.618 Fibonacci extensions, respectively.

XRP’s multi-year cup-and-handle structure highlights potential support near $0.894 and $0.642, while Fibonacci extension levels place conditional upside targets at approximately $8.47, $13.70, and $27.31. These levels represent technical projections rather than confirmed price outcomes. Source: ChartNerd analysis | Chart: The Crypto Basic.

XRP Chart Shows 8.5-Year Cup-and-Handle Structure

The chart maps an approximately 8.5-year cup-and-handle formation, beginning around XRP’s 2018 price peak and extending through the current market structure.

Under this interpretation, the rounded cup has already formed, while the decline following XRP’s 2025 peak represents the developing handle.

The latest chart places XRP near $1.47, with the handle still trading above two marked Fibonacci support levels. The first is the 0.5 retracement at approximately $0.894, while the 0.618 level sits near $0.642.

These levels are presented as potential support areas rather than confirmed future lows.

An earlier version of the analysis specifically highlighted the $0.89 region, noting that the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement overlapped with longer-term technical support.

Gaussian Channel Retest Remains Part of the Setup

The long-term chart also tracks repeated interactions with a Gaussian Channel.

Previous marked retests occurred during XRP’s broader multi-year structure, including the 2017 cycle low and three additional retests inside the subsequent cup formation. The current handle is positioned above another potential interaction with that channel.

In the May analysis, the handle was described as potentially seeking another Gaussian Channel retest before establishing a longer-term bottom.

The chart therefore separates two stages: first, the completion of the handle and identification of support; second, a potential breakout from the long-term structure.

Fibonacci Extensions Place Highest Level Near $27

If XRP eventually completes the handle and confirms a breakout, the displayed Fibonacci extensions are:

  • 1.272 extension: approximately $8.47
  • 1.414 extension: approximately $13.70
  • 1.618 extension: approximately $27.31

These levels are technical projections, not confirmed price outcomes or deadlines. The chart extends the potential move over several years and does not indicate that XRP must first fall to $0.89 or $0.64.

The analysis therefore places the measurable cup-and-handle extension range between roughly $8 and $27, rather than the $750-$1,000 targets attributed to alternative versions of the pattern.
