Rise & Grind 👑 🙌🏾
There’s a term that keeps coming up in conversations and I just keep crossing paths with it… “Awakening”.I hadn’t really put a lot of thought into what it means to me.
I maybe avoiding it because it’s close to the term “woke”. And where I’m from, it has split the collective into 3. I try to create boundaries for anything that divides. (Remember the energy vampires week) One group sees ‘woke’ as positive, another negative, and one group of people don’t give it any energy. For me watching the opposing sides discuss the term feels a toxic and draining. So it doesn’t serve a purpose on my journey.
The alternative to ‘woke’ is ‘sleep’, right? So if someone wants to remain sleep or woke in their life, why take it personal either way? It’s like the Matrix either you want the red pill, or the blue. We all have our own journey, why do we put so much energy into which path another person takes?
I’ve kind of avoided the terms, until I came across this Carl Jung video “40- the moment when you finally wake up”. It caused me to reflect, and brought me back to the term “awakening”.
We’ve discussed many universal principles over the years. This could be a powerful theory that resonates deeply with some.
What’s The Theory Highlights?
– After the first few decades, we begin to shed our persona. The mask we’ve worn to fit society’s expectations is removed as we embrace our authentic self.
– And for those in the 2nd phase of life, this is the time to lock in on living in our truth.
I hope this week can inspire those still in the research phase, to keep learning because there will come a time where it starts to make a little sense. And encourage those in the 2nd phase to embrace being their authentic selves.
I can’t say I agree 100% that research is only in the years prior to 40. However, since entering my 40s, things in this world are starting to make a little more sense. (Just a little ) But I don’t feel we’ll ever really stop researching and learning in this world. Look at a quote from the video:
“Midlife is when you reach the top of the ladder, and find that it was against the wrong wall”
If that’s the case just because you’ve figured out the right placement for the 🪜 now that you have a better perspective, doesn’t mean you don’t have more to learn on your journey back to the top once you place it 🪜 where it needs to go.
This theory is that the first 40 years of life are for building our identity, and once you cross the 40 mark your now embarking on the second half of the journey. One where we uncover the truth of who we really are.
Age is just a number. What took someone 40+ years to learn, May take others less ‘research’ time. More years does give us more time for experiences. But it doesn’t guarantee a person will actually experience anything in those years. Especially if they’re not exposing themselves to things outside their ‘norm’. Or being open to other perspectives in this world. This is what separates is in this space from the others 🙏🏾 We are on the path of finding & living our authentic truth. We are the creators, age (#s) will not define our journey.
