‘Everything Happens For A Reason’ I grew up hearing that my entire life. It wasn’t until I was 19 and experienced the death of my brother that I took offense to those words being spoken to me. For me, there wasn’t a reason for his life to be taken, while trying to bring peace to a situation. How do you justify the peace maker losing their life? It didn’t make sense then, and even on my current path, I struggle at times to find peace with it. My brother and fathers death was the beginning of me rejecting ‘everything happening for a reason’. I would take that saying personal, when someone said it to me.

Now many moons, later I find myself saying the same thing. No, I haven’t found a reason I can understand, for the many loses in my life. But it’s me beginning to understand I can’t take the things that happen in this world personal. It’s part of a bigger picture, I can’t see from my perspective. It wasn’t until I came across this video this weekend breaking down the theory that ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’ , the NOVA Effect. That I actually sat and reflected on the saying. I can see the peace I’ve found with this term. And how I could apply it to the shifts that I feel is coming.

I couldn’t find words to write last week. so I didn’t write, nor did I put pressure on myself to make something up. I want this to be true, and if I’m stuck, then oh well, I’m stuck. My mind was on so many things going on around me. The news is becoming more and more toxic, and watching others being impacted by things outside their control, is heart breaking & energy draining.

I started to feel guilt over being on this healing path, while feeling others may suffer if they aren’t preparing. I know what its like going thru dark nights of the soul. I feel energetically with these upcoming shifts, there will be some pulled deeper into those dark/low moments. The connection I found in this video, helped me take a step back for a better perspective.

All that is transpiring in this world is bigger than me. The best I can do is set my intentions on healing myself, and creating a space around me that helps inspire others to do the same. The more spaces of peace created in this world, helps the greater good, by creating spaces of sanctuary. So with us sharing the lessons learned, my hope is more & more increase their vibration. Then when those dark moments come, we overcome them together. Because no matter how much society tries to divide, we are one.
