“The All is Mind; the universe is mental.” – The Kybalion

This thought provoking quote comes from “The Kybalion” published back in 1908. It’s one of the limited resources we have detailing the study of the Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece. But it breaks down each universal law (principal) to help us understand the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus. Who according to Ancient Egypt and Greece, is the God of Wisdom. As well as said to have created the thread that exists within all religions.

Kybalion was written by 3 initiatives, but no one has a name of the author. See Hermes Trismegistus teachings were destroyed as organized, religions were on the rise. His teachings are credited with inventing writing, astrology, alchemy, psychology, and even possibly civilization amongst other things.

“The All is Mind; the universe is mental.” summarizes the profound understanding that the entire universe and all its creations are fundamentally rooted in the realm of the mind. Which is in almost every self help book, occults and religions. That thoughts create reality, and a positive mindset set can create a positive change in ones life.

Reflection – Where have you seen/heard that “thought creates reality”? Have you been able to successfully apply it to your every day life?

The principle of mentalism states that everything that exists, both seen and unseen, known and unknown, originates from the mind. It interprets the universe as a mental construct, shaped by consciousness. This principal was taught around 3,000 years ago in Ancient Egypt. It’s nothing new, however humans are still finding ways to resonate with the principal and share it with others so that they can understand as well.

This is why my mental health journey initially brought me to these principles, as well as, how I ended up back here. It’s all interconnected, all of my teachings will lead me back here. I know how powerful my mind is, I lived in the world Anxiety created for me since childhood. Now I work daily to create something that serves a purpose.

I’m excited about the next few weeks. Embracing Quantum Spirituality, and Nikolas Tesla’s theory that the secrets of the universe are within Energy, Frequency, and Vibrations resonated with me so much. When I started hermetic principles was so foreign to me. I had to start my path in other directions like practicing mindfulness and the power of now, in order for me to better understand what it is I’m meant to gain from this principles. So be patient with yourself, it takes time.

I’m grateful to embark on this path of understanding with each of you, and my hope is we all gain what we need to continue pushing forward. Do I think we will know all there is to know after a week of each principles, absolutely not lol, It took me years to get back here. But each lesson learned is a resource for our journey to interconnectedness.
