“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. – Aristotle
2300 years ago philosophers like Aristotle were discussing self-discovery and wisdom. William Shakespeare lived over 400 years ago when he said “To Thine Own Self Be True”. Buddhisms’
The Paramitas (we reviewed last year) was 1st shared between 100BC & 600 AD. The 4 noble truths/8 fold path discussed meditation. The fable we reviewed a couple weeks ago “The Alchemist” theme is all about self discovery and our quest to fulfill our personal legend (purpose). It may be translated differently throughout different belief systems, but essentially it’s the same message.
Everything we’ve reviewed in this space is interconnected. We’ve found interconnections between different ideologies and theologies from different cultures that have been shared throughout centuries. I encourage you to continue researching and finding the interconnections in self help books/resources and ancient religious texts. They say the same things just in different ways. I feel the reason we find so many things saying the same thing is because the universe is giving us options. Different paths all leading to the same source. Some things don’t translate well, so they don’t resonate with you, but delivered by someone with a perspective that aligns with your own views is how you confirm the path meant for you.
Know there will be one reoccurring message found on this path, finding our true self is how we obtain wisdom. And with wisdom comes peace of mind and interconnectedness.
This Weeks Take Away
“You, being yourself, unknowingly inspire others to be themselves”
“How you love yourself is how you teach others to love you”
Don’t worry about anybody else when you’re on this path of self-discovery. Finding our authentic self, is a selfish process. It requires a lot of time internal reflecting. Once we start to strengthen your connection with self, and create / maintain balance and boundaries. Our high frequency/light will inspire those around us to do the same. This is how the collective strengthens their connection to source. This is how we stay true to our ancestors and their wisdom that has been forgotten along the way.
Don’t stress about the confusion your silence may bring to those around you. “He who does not understand your silence, will probably not understand your words.”
Me, Myself & I Recap
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection”
Love yourself, even the scars created by the past. Wear them as a badge of honor, because there is joy in you survived that moment in time. Not everyone makes it through, but you did, so you owe it to yourself to continue pushing forward to be a better version of the self you were the day before.
