Rise & Grind 👑🙌🏾
“Your outer journey may contain a million steps; your inner journey only has one: the step you are taking right now”.
Ill be honest I didn’t read “The Power of Now”, I read “Practicing The Power of Now”. The first was just too intimidating to me for some reason, but I didn’t let that keep me from starting my mental health journey. I researched and saw that a high level overview of the book was published, and it focused more on meditations and exercises to help me focus on the present moment. This was one of the steps I took to start my journey.
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle is a self-help book that offers a method for achieving inner peace, living fully in the present, and separating yourself from your mind. The book also teaches you to detach yourself from your “ego”.
All week we have been reflecting on being more present. This is how some of you took your first step, and I want to encourage you to continue pressing forward. This book (I’m sure is one of many) will continue to assist you on your journey. Eckhart Tolle does an amazing job of breaking down How to balance your life by subduing the thoughts of your past and the future and focusing on the present moment. As well as how the mind is always trying to escape the now.
This book was very instrumental in getting me to where I am in my mental health journey today. My hope is that it could do the same for you. Here is also a YouTube video I found that takes a couple minutes to summarize the book.
A smart man (Albert Einstein) once said “The best preparation for the future is to live as if there were none. Long before Eckhart Tolle published his 1st book, people understand the power of being present.
My hope for you is you find peace within the now, and fully live within every second of it. 💚✨🙏🏾
