This week is a little physics and inspiration. Applying newtons law of motion theory to dark moments in life.

According to Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion “Every Action Has An Equal And Opposite Reaction”. So in theory every negative has a equal positive.

I reflected on this and how it applies to my journey. And the most pivotal moment was Nov 2002. My life would never look the same going forward, and the most frustrating thing I kept hearing was “Everything Happens For A Reason” and it will get better. Both for me are a lie.

I was losing my brother to an act of violence. One of which he was trying to keep peace with all parties involved. Looking at my mother, sister in law, nephew & 3m old niece….There was no reason. This was senseless and no good could ever come from this.

Fast forward 20+ yrs later and to me it’s still senseless and I’m no where near close to having a reason why any of it had to happen. Life didn’t get better, its just different. However, I am closer to understanding that my pain and loss is just a small piece in the grand scheme of things.

I may never know why “bad things happen to good ppl” it’s above my pay grade. But what time has revealed to me is the consistency of universal laws.

For example, Law of attraction, attracting what we are, and thoughts becoming reality. As well as Law of motion, what goes up must come down.

I couldn’t control what happened to my family. I couldn’t fill the void left behind from the loss. But I could control, how this situation controlled my life going forward. I could control not allowing us to be swallow whole by our anger and pain. I reminded my family of the light my brother gave to us and those around him. His joy of life, and how it was up to each of us to continue shining that light in honor of his name and spirit. I discovered on my journey that our bodies are just vessels for our spirit/light. Even if the vessel is gone, the contents from within never perish. And it thrives with each good deed/karma given in its name.

The law is written, but it does require work. With a lot of time and healing I applied Newtons law without even knowing it. I may not have found reason, but I did find light.

The positive in my experience with loss of life, is the appreciation of life. How fragile and priceless life is, and how it’s not guaranteed. And 1 way for me to honor not only my life, but my ancestors is to live it in light. Applying newtons law to every dark moment that crosses my path.

Dark moments are inevitable. It is what it is. But with a little time & healing you can create the light you need to see thru it. For those searching for the light….never stop 💚✨🙏🏾
