GOLDEN Horse Investment Bank Ltd (GHIB) launched two new digital applications using its newly developed digital finance platform underpinned by the Golden Horse blockchain technology.

The Labuan-headquartered digital investment bank’s Golden Horse Exchange and Golden Horse Wallet applications are now available on Google Play Store for Android users.

GHIB founder Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew (picture) said the most important thing in the capital market is integrity and to provide reliable and secure services to the customers.

He said blockchain, as a highly secure and traceable technology, could protect the ownership of assets.

“GHIB will ensure that the investment is legal and comply with rules and regulations, and at the same time guarantee no capital loss, that is unprecedented in the investment world,” Lee said in a statement last Friday.

He, also the founder of Country Heights Holdings Bhd, has decided to embrace blockchain technology to spearhead new innovations in the regional capital market.

The Golden Horse Exchange and Golden Horse Wallet are among the main pillars of an integrated and comprehensive Golden Horse Digital Finance Ecosystem developed by GHIB.

The Golden Horse Exchange is an exclusive blockchain-based solution platform that allows investors to manage contractual engagements, providing users with fast and secure transactions with minimal fees through the concept of inclusive finance.

The Golden Horse Wallet provides a simple, safe, reliable, hassle-free and seamless tool for multi accounts management involving different digital assets or currencies.

GHIB will set up a Golden Horse Blockchain Research Institute at Hainan Ecological Software Park in China in order to build the Golden Horse blockchain ecosystem.

Lee said agricultural projects such as vertical farming can make use of blockchain technology to enable smart agriculture and tackle common problems in the supply chains such as food traceability to produce better quality and safer food.

“If there is a need, GHIB will also consider setting up a marketing centre in Cameron Highland, Pahang to integrate blockchain with agriculture, and assist the farmers to apply blockchain technologies in their farms,” he added.
