Vandell Aljarrah, co-founder of Black Swan Capitalist, has argued that both XRP fundamentals and technical structure support higher prices over time.
He shared the view on X, pushing back against those who continue to dismiss the asset’s prospects. He noted critics were either misreading XRP’s chart, underestimating its fundamentals, or doing both.
“You don’t have to like the tech or the people behind it to see the opportunity,” he added.
His latest comments follow a series of posts this month in which he argued that XRP’s price depends more on scarcity, market narratives and financial conditions than on individual partnerships or utility developments.
Aljarrah Says XRP Can Rise Without New Utility
In a post last week, Aljarrah argued that XRP’s price can rise even without new uses or developments. He believes its limited supply, escrow system, perceived value, and the tendency of risky assets to gain value against the US dollar could help drive its price up.
“Markets don’t price utility, they price scarcity and narrative,” he wrote. In other words, he believes scarcity and investor sentiment matter more than real-world use, while adoption is just an added benefit.
This challenges the idea that XRP needs more payment partnerships, new transaction routes, or real-world use for its price to rise. According to this view, XRP could rise in value if more investors buy it or become more optimistic about its future, even if network activity stays the same.
XRP Could Repeat History
Amid the discouraging price performance, Aljarrah is urging XRP investors to be patient. He pointed out that XRP previously spent about two years trading sideways before rising by 60,000% during the 2017/2018 bull run.
“Losing patience during market stagnation is a novice mistake,” he wrote. His point is that a long period of little price movement does not mean XRP cannot rise significantly later. However, past price increases do not guarantee another rally.
Investors Should Prepare for Big Price Drops
Despite his bullish outlook, Aljarrah warned that XRP can experience major losses. In numerous posts, he noted that XRP had suffered price drops of around 85% to 96% in previous market cycles before recovering many times over.
He believes investors hoping for big returns must be prepared for these sharp price swings and possible long periods of falling prices. His message is that patience and the ability to handle volatility are important for anyone investing in XRP.
Ultimately, Aljarrah believes XRP could reach new all-time highs given its limited supply, investor sentiment, and favorable market conditions, even without major improvements in its real-world use. But investors must be patient to witness that outcome.
