XRP Pulls Back to .50: 50-Day SMA, RSI and Volume Profile Levels in Focus

XRP holds a nearly 16% weekly gain despite falling toward $1.50, with $6.46 billion in daily trading volume and a $94.6 billion market cap.

XRP retained a nearly 16% weekly gain on September 24 despite a daily decline that brought its price back toward $1.50. CoinMarketCap recorded a seven-day increase of 15.96%, while the token fell 6.91% over the preceding 24 hours.

XRP Retreats From Weekly High

XRP’s latest decline erased part of its recent advance without reversing its positive seven-day performance. CoinGecko separately recorded a weekly gain of approximately 15.9%, with the token trading within a seven-day range of $1.29 to $1.66. At $1.50, XRP was approximately 9.6% below the upper end of that range.

The more recent trading range also reflected the pullback. CoinMarketCap listed a 24-hour low of $1.48 and a high of $1.63, placing XRP’s price near the lower end of its daily range.

Despite the decline, XRP remained the fifth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. Its circulating supply stood at approximately 62.88 billion tokens.

Daily RSI Above 50 as Price Trades Above 50-day Moving Average

During the weekly advance, XRP’s daily relative strength index registered 59, while its price traded approximately 16% above the 50-day moving average.

The RSI reading placed the indicator above its neutral midpoint of 50 but below the conventional overbought threshold of 70. RSI measures the speed and magnitude of price changes, providing a measure of momentum rather than a price target.

The volume profile’s point of control stood at $1.37. This level identifies the price at which the highest trading volume occurred within the measured range. Unlike a moving average, which tracks average prices over time, the point of control highlights where trading activity was concentrated.

At approximately $1.50, XRP remained above that volume-profile level. The $1.37 point of control also sat between the token’s current price and its seven-day low of $1.29.

Pullback Coincides With Broader Market Decline

XRP’s daily losses came during a weaker session across digital assets. CoinMarketCap reported a total cryptocurrency market capitalization of approximately $2.86 trillion, down 2.96% over 24 hours. XRP’s 6.91% decline exceeded that percentage decrease.

The weekly comparison remained different. CoinGecko recorded a 9.6% increase in the broader cryptocurrency market over seven days, compared with XRP’s 15.9% advance. XRP therefore continued to outperform the market on the weekly timeframe despite its larger daily retreat
