This was an auspicious opportunity as the VNT Vention app is primarily aimed at benefiting Filipino artists, their fans, investors and a broad community of underprivileged Filipinos in the long run.
VNT Vention is a global market site focused on artists and their work. Anyone can create, buy, sell, and even collect digital products for a minimal platform fee. This is the first time in the Philippines and the site’s main supporters aim to attract more local artists, including actors, musicians, painters and writers, to this unique marketing platform.
“We are here to support local artists, even popular entertainers. We help them sell their collections and works of art,” said the founder of VNT Venture. Cryptocurrency trader Julius Santilan said at a virtual press conference.
The main purpose of the platform is to encourage Filipino artists to use blockchain technology in marketing their masterpieces to fans and collectors. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) can be used to represent sellable items such as photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files.
“By tokenizing your work and selling it on the digital marketplace, artists can maximize their reach to potential customers,” VNT Vention said on its website.
Jacob Montemayor, a spokesman for VNT Vention, said:
“NFTs are like public markets with food stalls, where you don’t have to deal with brokers and your ownership of your work or collection is protected,” Santillan further explained.
VNT Vention not only provides a market for wider exposure, but also provides safe storage of arts and crafts while establishing a solid and collaborative community.
“We use a blockchain that is immutable and unhackable. It is trusted throughout the digital space, ensuring the security of our users, sellers and vendors,” explains Montemor-o-V.
Santillan also assured that no special skills were required to use VNT Vention. “Anyone can use this platform. The user-friendly and intuitive design makes it easy to understand the on-screen guides. Even an 80-year-old grandma can enjoy it,” he says.
“And you don’t have to be a celebrity to make a profit,” he emphasized. “Kahitanopwede. You can actually create art from your immediate environment, it’s your NFT product, and you could make money from it.”
