Salem: Actor turned politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) is now scouting for a location in Salem to hold the party’s first state-level political conference, which is scheduled for November. Initially, the conference was scheduled to be held in either Trichy or Madurai. TVK general secretary Bussy Anand on Thursday inspected three locations in the district – Thalaivasal, Gajalnaickenpatty and Kakapalayam – to hold the conference. He was accompanied by TVK Salem district president Parthiban. According to a party source, the conference is likely to be held at Gajalnaickenpatty on the outskirts of Salem city. He said at least 10 lakh party cadres were expected to participate in the TVK’s first state conference. “We will make all arrangements to make it a grand event.” TNN
